Running Drake

Brilliant work. Your improving and developing into a need to know artist. You've added your own twist to a well loved oriental style.

Lets start with anatomy. Obviously you know animalic bone structure. Your front legs are better done than many I have seen here on dA. You show muscle structure and allow the creature to look natural and even intimidating. Though there are a few things you should watch for. Notice that the head seems to be a bit small for the rest of the body. The neck seems too small leaving the body and bulges just behind the head. The hind legs seem a little skinny to support such a large animal.

You have done an excellent job with contour shading to give this piece a 3D look and a little life to it.

One of your highlights of this piece is the motion line. You can see the Drake sprinting around a corner. the entire body flows with it and allows him to be seen in a majestic light displaying his power and glory.
